We are seeking talented Security Architects to join our team at VITA. This role requires on-site presence for four days a week, without exceptions. Please ensure your candidates check their sent emails to avoid duplicate submissions, as we are only accepting three candidates per vendor.

About the Role:

This position involves the development of governance documentation, specifically focusing on the remediation of the existing SSP and baseline backlog of submitting new requests. You will ensure that the Commonwealth of Virginia's security requirements are thoroughly addressed in all aspects of the architecture, including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and resulting systems supporting the organization's missions and business processes. Documentation of these measures into a system security plan is paramount.

Abilities:

• Apply methods, standards, and approaches for describing, analyzing, and documenting an organization's security architecture.
• Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.

Experiences:

• Employ secure configuration management processes.
• Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine adequacy.
• Experience with state government is highly desired and should be clearly reflected on the resume..

Skills:

• Knowledge of NIST 800-53 rev 5: Required (5 Years)
• Knowledge of System Security Plan creation and documentation: Required (5 Years)
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security for multi-tenant capabilities: Required (5 Years)
• Knowledge of multi-level security systems and cross-domain solutions: Required (5 Years)
• Skill in applying and incorporating cybersecurity requirements into proposed solutions: Required (5 Years)
• Skill to identify cybersecurity and privacy issues stemming from connections with internal and external organizations: Required (5 Years)
• Experience with state government desired. If the candidate has prior State government experience, it MUST be clearly reflected on their resume.
